Geraedts Iron Foundry attaches great importance to delivering high-quality castings. To guarantee this quality, our various alloys are produced according to current standards (DIN 1561 and DIN 1563).
At Geraedts Iron Foundry, quality is the foundation of everything we do. Throughout the entire production process, we monitor and control every step with great care. This ensures our customers receive consistent, reliable, and high-quality castings.
Strict Process Control
To guarantee our high quality standards, we utilize an extensive control system that covers all phases of the production process.
Periodic Sand Quality Control
Moulding sand plays an essential role in the quality of the final product. Therefore, we perform periodic checks on the composition and properties of the sand. Through this continuous monitoring, we guarantee stable process quality and reliable, high-level castings.
Temperature Control of the Melt
During the melting process, the furnace temperature is continuously monitored and kept within strict margins, tailored to the specific alloy and product specifications. This minimizes chemical deviations and oxidation while ensuring optimal fluidity of the metal. At the same time, energy consumption is optimized through process-driven furnace control and the limitation of heat loss, ensuring the correct melting temperature is reached with minimal energy usage without compromising stability or quality.
Thermal and Spectrometric Analysis of the Melt
During the melting process, we perform thermal and spectrometric analyses to monitor quality. Thermal analysis provides insight into solidification behavior, while spectrometer analysis checks the chemical composition according to specifications. All results are recorded and linked to batch and production data, ensuring full traceability.
